Bhopal: A special court in Bhopal has sentenced two persons, including Pyare Miyan ( journalist Pyare Miyan ), the owner of a local newspaper, to life imprisonment. The special court has sentenced Pyare Mian and his associates in a sexual assault case against a minor girl. There is an allegation on Pyaare Mian that he used to carry out acts of cruelty by making a minor drink liquor. Not only this, Pyare Miyan used to send the minor to big parties. The offenders were found guilty under sections of the POCSO Act and the Indian Penal Code.

On Monday, Special Judge (POCSO) Kavita Verma sentenced Sweety Vishwakarma (21) to 20 years imprisonment and Dr Hemant Mittal (45) to five years' rigorous imprisonment for helping the perpetrators in sexually exploiting the victim and getting her aborted. The court imposed a penalty of Rs 5.59 lakh on Pyare Mian while a penalty of Rs 10,000 each was imposed on three other criminals. Mittal appeared directly in the court as he was out on bail.

According to special public prosecutor P N Singh Rajput, the victim had filed a case at Kohefiza police station in Bhopal on July 13, 2020. District court officer Manoj Tripathi said that according to the case registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the victim was raped for three years and when she resisted, the culprits threatened her that they would threaten her that their family members Will kill people. Mian is also being tried in other cases of rape of minors in court.
