The death toll in Andhra Pradesh has risen to 14,391 with three new deaths in the last 24 hours. and recorded 301 fresh cases, taking the total number of cases across the state to 20,67,706. On the other hand, 217 new patients were cured on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 20,49,555 and currently there are 3830 active cases. Andhra Pradesh has so far conducted 2.96 COVID-19 tests across the state, which includes 23,824 tests in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, 10,929 new cases were registered across the country in the last 24 hours, which is 14.1 percent less than on Friday.

With the fresh cases, the country's total tally has gone up to 3,43,44,683, according to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare early on Saturday. The top five states that have reported maximum cases are Kerala with 6,580 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 875 cases, Maharashtra with 802 cases, West Bengal with 763 cases and Mizoram with 513 cases. 87.23 per cent of the new cases have been reported from these five states, with Kerala alone accounting for 60.21 per cent of the new cases.

In the last 24 hours, 392 people have died in the country, taking the total death toll to 4,60,265. Kerala (314) had the highest casualties, followed by Maharashtra with 17 daily deaths. A total of 12,509 patients were cured in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cured patients across the country to 3,37,37,468. With this, India's recovery rate is now 98.23 percent.
