New Delhi: The Arbitration Commission has announced bypoll dates in 14 states. 3 Lok Sabha and 30 assembly seats will go to the polls for the upcoming bypolls on October 30. Election results will come on November 2. The Election Commission has decided to set up a committee to identify the situation in the corona epidemic, floods, festivals, cold conditions in some areas, related states/UTs. Reviewed the response from the Union Territories and decided to date the by-election in view of all the facts and circumstances.

The three Lok Sabha seats where bypolls are proposed include Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Daman Diu in the Union Territory, three parliamentary constituencies in Himachal Pradesh and Khandwa Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh. With this, bye-elections are due in 30 assembly seats in 13 states. These states include a total of 13 states including Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and West Bengal.

While bypolls are proposed in four seats in West Bengal, five seats in Assam and three each in Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh will go to polls. Bye-elections will be held in two assembly seats each in Rajasthan, Bihar and Karnataka, while one seat each in Mizoram, Telangana, Nagaland, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana.
