New Delhi: India has reported 2,487 new cases of corona infection within a day. This was reported by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The country currently has a weekly positivity rate of 0.66 per cent and a daily positivity rate of 0.59 per cent. According to the ministry's statement, the number of people who have recovered from the infection has gone up to 4,25,76,815. The new cases are 12 per cent lower than the 2,858 cases reported a day earlier. This shows that cases are decreasing. It has also been reported that 13 people have died of the infection due to this.

Maharashtra was the worst affected state in the country in terms of corona infection. Where once again the virus is growing. Thane district has reported 25 new cases in a day. An official said on Sunday, after 25 new cases were detected, the total number of cases in Thane district has reached 7,09,337. "These new cases were reported on Saturday. There has been no change in the total number of dead. It's still 11,895. The official said the death rate from corona in Thane is 1.67 per cent. Another official said that the total number of corona cases in the neighbouring district of Palghar is 1,63,612 and the total death toll is 3,407.

The number of active cases of corona infection in India is 17,692. Talking about the capital Delhi, it reported 673 new cases and four deaths on Saturday. According to the data released by the health department, the positivity rate is 2.77 per cent. Earlier on March 18, 607 cases were reported and one death was reported. The positivity rate on that day was 0.76 percent. But at the moment, cases are on the rise. The total number of corona infection cases in Delhi is 18,99,745, while the total number of deaths is 26,192.
