Patna: Film actress Kangana Ranaut has been embroiled in controversy over her independence statement. The opposition is constantly attacking her and there is a demand that the President withdraw the Padma Shri honour given to her. Meanwhile, former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi's daughter-in-law Deepa Manjhi has hit out at Kangana Ranaut. Deepa Majhi tweeted in the local language that 'This Kangana Ranaut does not know that we don't even consider her, worth laying Bihari dung. When she received the Padma Award, she started insulting the martyrs.'

Deepa further challenged Kangana, terming her as a traitor, that if she has made the statement in Bihar, her mouth would have been dipped in mud. At the same time, in her tweet, Deepa called Kangana Ranaut "addicted" and "Shurpanakha's sister". It may be recalled that Deepa Manjhi has earlier called Lalu's daughter Rohini Acharya "Labri". On the other hand, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik on Friday attacked Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut over her independence statement. He said Kangana Ranaut has despised thousands of freedom fighters by saying that she was liberating in 2014.

Nawab Malik said that we strongly condemn Kangana's statement. The Central government should withdraw the Padma Shri award from Kangana and she should be arrested. Kangana Ranaut seems to have overdosed on Malana Cream (Hashish, a special type of drugs that grows in Himachal) before making such a statement.
