Deepika Padukone is one of the most loved actors of Bollywood. The actress is very vocal about her mental health. There was a time when the actress was suffering from Depression. She has never shied away from talking about her depression and also motivated many to open up about the same. The actress has also shared his journey and experience with others to motivate them and help them to fight against these problems.

In a recent interview, Deepika speaking about her depression said, “There were days when I just didn’t want to wake up, I would just sleep because sleep for me was an escape. I was suicidal at times,”. Recalling the incident where her parents had come to visit her and on the day when they were leaving for Bangalore, the actress broke down. When Deepika had no answers to questions that her mother asked her mother knew instantly that something was wrong and that according to the actress was God sent.  Deepika gives credit to her mother who identified her signs.

The actress earlier said, “It basically started in February 2014...I felt empty and directionless and it just felt life had no meaning or purpose. I couldn’t feel anything physically or emotionally. I just felt this void... I felt this for days, weeks, and months until one day my family was here and they were going back home when they were packing their bags, I was sitting in their room and suddenly broke down. That’s when my mother realized for the first time that something was different. My cry was different. It wasn’t the usual boyfriend issue or stress at work. She kept asking me is it this or that. I couldn’t pinpoint one specific reason. It was her experience and presence of mind that she encouraged me to seek help."

On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be seen in Pathaan Shah Rukh Khan.. It also features John Abraham in a key role. Pathaan will hit theatres on the 25th of January, 2023., Deepika also has Fighter with Hrithik Roshan. She will also be seen in Nag Ashwin’s Project K with Prabhas. Deepika also has the Hindi remake of The Intern in the pipeline, where she will share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.
