Along with her acting prowess, Deepika Padukone has also demonstrated to fans that she is among the best dancers in Bollywood with performances in songs like Jhoome Jo Pathaan and Besharam Rang. Yet an old clip of Deepika practicing her dance for Happy New Year (2014) has surfaced again, and people's views to it are mixed. While Deepika Padukone fans are stunned by the actor's dance moves, other people in the vintage video don't seem particularly impressed.

In the video, Deepika could be seen flawlessly performing the hook steps to her Happy New Year song, Beautiful. In the vintage video that was just uploaded on Instagram, she is dressed in a black tank top and grey yoga pants. In the video, the actor and the choreographer could be seen dancing together. Deepika danced while twirling her hair in different directions. "Balo ka dance hai yeh" (Is this some sort of dance for her hair) was a comment made on the video. On YouTube, where the video was also posted, someone compared Deepika's movements to "robot dancing."

Several YouTube users also seemed to be more engaged with Deepika's choreographer's dance. I love Deepika, she did a terrific job in the actual clip (in the movie), but for me, the girl behind her is more important here. "Choreographer is (fire emoji), her dances are so graceful and sensual," one additional remarked. "Amazing for the choreographer," said a third person. Another person added, "Deepika looks a little stiff here... choreographer did a great job... (Fire emoji) Look at the flexibility and elegance.
