New Delhi: In the Modi government 2.0, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh flew in the indigenously built Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas from LAL Airport in Bengaluru on Thursday. It is being told that Rajnath Singh is the first Defense Minister to fly in the Tejas fighter jet. Before taking off, Indian Air Force officials gave Rajnath Singh the details. Earlier, the media released a picture, in which Rajnath Singh appeared in a flying dress before taking off. This Tejas has been manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

Rajnath was also accompanied by Air Vice Marshal N Tiwari. Tiwari is the project director at the National Flight Test Center of the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) in Bangalore. Giving information on Wednesday, a Defense Ministry official said that the Defense Minister is "flying" to boost the morale of the officials involved in the development of indigenously built Tejas. He said, "This will also boost the morale of the Indian Air Force pilots flying these aircraft. ANI has also released a video of Rajnath Singh flying in Tejas.

Earlier, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh shared two pictures from his official Twitter handle and wrote, 'All set for the day.' Let me tell you that the Indian Air Force has included the first batch of Tejas aircraft in the fleet. The aircraft in which the Defense Minister has flown is a two-seater. Tejas fighter aircraft can hit air to air and air to ground.
