Recently, media company William Reed released its list of the world's top 100 restaurants, featuring two Indian establishments. Mumbai's Masque Restaurant secured a place on this prestigious list, followed closely by Indian Accent in Delhi.

What Makes Masque Restaurant in Mumbai Special?

Founded by Prateek Sadhu and Aditi Dugar in 2016, Masque has made its mark by ranking 23rd among Asia's top 50 restaurants in 2024. Notably, Masque also featured in Asia's top 50 restaurants in 2023.

Located in Mumbai's Old Textile Mill area, Masque is renowned for its 10-course tasting menu, priced at approximately ₹5200. It prides itself on being India's first farm-to-table restaurant. A standout dish is the Makai Mathri served with chutney and roasted corn, made from maize and hemp seeds. Additionally, the restaurant is famous for its cocktail crafted from Ayurvedic ingredients.

Indian Accent in Delhi: A Culinary Gem

Established by Rohit Khattar in 2009, Indian Accent started its journey in Delhi and has since expanded to London and New York. It held the distinction of being among India's top restaurants for seven consecutive years from 2015 to 2021. Dishes at Indian Accent start from around ₹4000, offering a blend of traditional Indian flavors with a modern twist.
