57 trainee IAS officers test corona positive in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: COVID-19 virus continues to wreak havoc across the country. Now this fire has reached Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Dehradun. 57 trainee officers at the academy tested positive for Corona. It has been decided to close the institute by 3 December due to the spread of infection in large numbers. Academy officials told 'Bhasha' on Sunday that the institute has been closed till December 3 due to 57 trainee officers being found to be suffering from corona and during this period all activities including training will be conducted online.

He said that since Friday, 57 officer trainees have tested for COVID-19 virus and all of them have been kept separately in a specially prepared covid care center. Since Friday, 162 RT-PCR tests have been performed at the academy. Protocols related to social distancing, continuous hand washing and wearing of masks are being strictly followed by officer trainees and staff members.

According to Corona India, a total of 70,790 cases of COVID-19 virus have been reported in Uttarakhand. 1146 people have died. At the same time, a total of 1.9 lakh investigations have been done in Dehradun so far. The number of cases of infection here is 19920. Whereas, due to Corona, 635 people have lost their lives in Dehradun city so far. The number of corona patients in the country is close to 91 lakhs.
