While the minimum fare for traveling in the city bus has increased from 5 to 7 rupees, the minimum fare of Vikram has been increased from 5 to 6 rupees. Even for sitting in auto, now you have to pay a minimum fare of 50 rupees instead of 20 rupees. State Transport Authority (STA) Secretary Sanat Kumar Singh on Tuesday released new rates for city bus, Vikram and auto fares. Earlier the minimum fare in the city bus was 5 rupees which has increased to 7 rupees. The minimum fare to travel in Vikram has increased from 5 rupees to 6 rupees.

According to the information received, the minimum fare to travel in auto has increased from Rs 20 to Rs 50. The authority has reduced slabs of fare per kilometer of a city bus from 16 to 8 this time. According to the City Bus Union, the fare has been increased by an average of 2 to 5 rupees according to the rates fixed by the STA.

It is also being said that STA has fixed the new rates. It will be implemented from Wednesday i.e. today, the morning of 19 February. It is being speculated that despite the implementation of the new rates, there will not be much burden of fare on passengers. City bus operators have breathed a little relief from the rates the transport department has increased.
