Delhi: 18-year-old youth stabbed after quarrel

NEW DELHI:  A 18-year-old boy was stabbed allegedly by three juveniles following a quarrel between them in the capital's Sultanpuri area, an official said Friday.

The injured was recognized as Kuljeet Singh, a resident of Chander Vihar, Delhi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sameer Sharma said, a PCR call was received on Thursday at the Sultanpuri police station alleging a stabbing, after which the Station House Officer and other personnel arrived on the scene and found that the injured had been taken to the  Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment.

"During the investigation, it was found that wounded Kuljeet Singh, his sister Soni Kaur, and cousin Lakhvinder Singh were riding a Bullet bike from D block, Sultanpuri, when three individuals quarreled with them and attacked Kuljeet with a sharp instrument like a knife," the Deputy Commissioner added.

The police have identified two of the suspects as Parvinder alias Chintu and Harmeet Singh and have filed a complaint in accordance with the applicable laws. "An investigation is underway," the official added.
