Delhi tragic incident, speeding tempo tramples 4 people to death

New Delhi: A tragic incident has taken place in the country's capital Delhi. Four persons were hit by a speeding tempo in Najafgarh area on Friday morning, killing them tragically. Three of the deceased were members of the same family. Police said, the deceased have been identified as Ashok (30), his wife Kiran, son Ishant and another person Jawahar Singh (93). All of them were residents of Najafgarh.

The incident took place around 5.15 am when the men had gone for a walk. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Santosh Kumar Meena said, "Ashok's second son Dev was seriously injured and has been admitted to the hospital. The tempo driver has been identified as Rajesh (35), who has been arrested on the spot. ''

He said the driver tempo was driving at a very fast speed and negligently. He is under medical examination. A case has been registered against him under sections 279 and 304 of the IPC. The bodies have been sent to Rao Tularam Memorial Hospital for postmortem and the case is under investigation.
