New Delhi: The parents of a seven-year-old brain-dead girl who is being gifted at Delhi AIIMS have agreed to donate her organs. This seven-year-old girl is going to give new life to at least 6 people in organ transplants. The parents are very happy about the organ transplant of the daughter. According to the doctors treating the girl, her liver, kidney and cornea and heart valve were examined on Friday.
Dr Deepak Gupta, professor of the department of neurosurgery, AIIMS, informed that one of the six children of a man (tailor by profession) from Noida was brought to AIIMS trauma centre at 11.30 pm on Wednesday due to a head injury. A CT scan revealed that there was a bullet injury in the right side of her head, but the parents did not know that she had been shot. Her parents were alarmed when they heard the doctors. He said he had heard some noise, but could not believe that her daughter was shot. They had no information about the bullet injury.
According to the girl's father, Harnarayan Prajapati, the girl was on a cot outside with her two siblings and we were inside the house. Suddenly there was a loud noise and she called her mother. We came out and saw that the baby was bleeding profusely. We didn't know what had happened. We never thought that she had been shot because we have no enmity with anyone. We took her to the doctors. From where the doctors referred her to AIIMS trauma centre. The doctors told us she was shot. We don't know what happened and why. "We have complained to the police about the shooting, now they are investigating.''
