New Delhi: It is not appropriate to put serious patients infected with the corona epidemic on ventilators. The survival rate of patients on ventilators is very low. Experts from AIIMS Delhi have given this statement. In a recent video conference with experts from AIIMS, the experts of the state medical college have instructed not to put serious patients of Covid infection on the ventilator.

It is being told that the survival rate of corona patients placed on a ventilator at Nerchowk Medical College in Mandi is zero. In Mandi district, around 61 infected people died due to corona so far. Nearly fifty of the infected were put on a ventilator in critical condition, but no one could be saved. Amidst the corona epidemic, the central government has given 500 ventilators to Himachal for free.

These include 178 transports, while others are ICU ventilators. Mandi district alone has been given around 46 ventilators. The Principal of Nerchowk Medical College, Dr RC Thakur admitted that the survival rate of Covid patients on a ventilator is very low. He said that there has been a discussion recently with AIIMS experts through video conference, in which it is said that serious patients of Covid infection should not be put on a ventilator.
