'My Husband has Locked Me up, Please Call Police': Delhi Air Hostess' Last msg to Friend

New Delhi: the thirty-nine-year-old airhostess, who allegedly committed suicide in south Delhi's Panchsheel Park, was locked inside a room and wanted to call police. The lawyer reveled her last text message.

The  female flight attendant Anissia Batra's lawyer said that just few minutes before she allegedly committed suicide, she had messaged her friends to call the police. He added that the door of the room she was kept in was locked from the outside.

Worth mention here Anissia allegedly jumped off from the terrace of her home following a dispute with her husband Mayank Singhvi on Friday.

Police suspected that Anissia was distress with her husband as she had recently exposed that he was a divorcee. The senior officer, who was probing, said Anissia came to know a month ago that Singhvi was a divorcee.

Anissia worked with a German airline. She had got married on February 23, 2016 and it was a love marriage.

Anissia ‘s husband had not told her about his first marriage. After she knew about his earlier relationship, she was quite upset.  According to the police it is suspected that they must have had clashes over it.

Her family made allegation that Singhvi used to physically abuse the airhostess and they also accused his parents of niggling her for dowry.

Meanwhile Singhvi was arrested on Monday and was produced in a city court on Tuesday. He was sent judicial custody for 14 days.
