NEW DELHI: Delhi Airport has become the first in India to launch the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) for Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. This new initiative by the Government of India aims to reduce airport congestion by offering expedited emigration and immigration clearance.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the programme at Terminal 3, which now features eight electronic gates—four for arrivals and four for departures—dedicated to FTI-TTP participants. The number of counters may increase based on demand.

The FTI-TTP is designed to provide Indian nationals and OCI cardholders with a faster, easier, and more secure travel experience. To participate, applicants must pay a processing fee and undergo biometric verification, including fingerprint and facial image submission. Membership in the programme is linked to passport validity, requiring at least six months of validity at the time of application.

Delhi Airport, operated by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Airport Infrastructure Limited, is proud to be part of this initiative. "We at DIAL are very proud to join hands with the Government of India for launching the FTI-Trusted Traveller Programme at Delhi Airport. This programme will offer a world-class and seamless travel experience to all international passengers opting for this facility," said Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of DIAL.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Bureau of Immigration, has developed the roadmap for the FTI-TTP. This technology-driven initiative aims to make the emigration and immigration clearance process faster and simpler, enhancing the overall travel experience for pre-verified travellers.
