New Delhi: Delhi and Haryana Police have been alerted about the Chakka jam called on 6 February by farmers organizations. Top officials of Delhi Police met on Friday and decided that if the agitators forcibly stop traffic or agitate in Delhi tomorrow, farmers or protesters will be dealt with severely.

The United Kisan Morcha has called for a flywheel jam across the country yesterday or on February 6 in the afternoon to demand the withdrawal of three agricultural laws. After the announcement of United Kisan Morcha, vigilance has been increased on the borders of Delhi. Delhi Police said that in the last few days, people coming to Delhi are being closely monitored. Additional police force will be deployed in Delhi to prevent any kind of protests. The local intelligence report mentions protesters in groups of four or five, who can block protests or drive around at important sites in New Delhi.

Delhi Police has also asked Delhi Metro to be ready to close other stations including New Delhi on 6 February. Interestingly, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha has not given any information about Chakka Jam, but farmer leader Rakesh Tikait had said that Chakka Jam will not be in Delhi-NCR.
