New Delhi: Voting has been going on since morning for assembly seats in Delhi. Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi on Saturday voted for the Delhi Assembly elections. Sonia Gandhi voted at the Nirman Bhavan polling station. She was ill and was discharged from the hospital this week. She was accompanied by her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on her way to vote.

Rahul Gandhi cast his vote at NP Senior Secondary School in Aurangzeb Lane. After many years, Sonia Gandhi arrived at the booth to vote without Sheila Dixit. Sheila Dixit died last year. In Delhi, 1.47 crore people are eligible to vote, which will decide the fate of 672 candidates. Election officials said that 3.66 per cent polling was recorded in the first hour of polling which started at 8 am.

A few minutes before the voting started, Kejriwal tweeted and wrote, "Go vote." Special appeal to all women - Just as you bear the responsibility of the home, so too is the responsibility of the country and Delhi.
