Delhi registers second consecutive win in Pro Kabaddi League

Hyderabad: Dabang Delhi has registered its second consecutive victory in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) league. Delhi beat Tamil Talivaz 30-29 in the tournament on Thursday to secure their second consecutive victory. Tamil Talivaz had to pay the brunt of his star raider Manjeet Chiller's mistake in the match. Tamil Talivaz played well in the first half.

Tamil had taken a 5-1 lead in the beginning. Chasing a victory target of 217 runs, Delhi were bundled out for 158 in 49.5-0. By the end of the first half, they secured an 18-11 lead. However, Delhi made a good start in the second half. In the 38th minute of the match, Delhi made a tremendous comeback to the Tamil Thalivaj by an all-out match.

In the last minute, Delhi made a spectacular comeback and levelled the score to 29-29. Delhi's Naveen Kumar was in the last red of the match, but Manjeet Chiller of Tamil Thalivaj walked out of the line (self-out). With this, Delhi got one point with which they won the match. This is Delhi's second consecutive victory this season, while the Tamils have suffered their first defeat in two matches.

For Delhi, Naveen Kumar scored eight while Meraj Shaikh scored six while captain Jogidar Narwal took four points. The team got 13 from the Reds, nine from tackles, two from the all-out and six extra points. For Tamil Talivaz, Rahul Chaudhary took seven, Ajay Thakur five and Manjeet Chiller five points. The team got 12 from the Reds, eight from tackles, two from the all-out and four extra points.
