New Delhi: The threat of the corona epidemic in the country is not yet completely eliminated and bird flu cases are coming from all states. Now, the dreaded virus has also engulfed the national capital, Delhi. In Delhi, the bird flu virus has been confirmed in dead ducks and crows.

It may be noted that 91 crows and 27 ducks were found dead in 15 parks in Delhi yesterday. Sanjay Lake area has been declared as an alert zone in view of bird flu. Not only that, ghazipur rooster mandi has also been ordered to be closed for ten days. The Centre has directed the state zoo managements to send daily reports to the Central Zoo Authority (CZA) and continue until their locality is declared disease-free.

CZA, which falls under the Ministry of Environment, has issued an informed memorandum stating that avian influenza is a disease scheduled under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases in Animals Act, 2009 and it is mandatory to provide information about such a disease to prevent its spread.
