New Delhi: The political mercury over Chhath Puja is rising in Delhi. The BJP has announced to celebrate Chhath Parv even after the ban on DDMA. On the other hand, the ruling AAP has alleged that the BJP has prevented the formation of ghats for Chhath Puja. The BJP has announced to celebrate the festival even after the ban on Chhath Puja at Yamuna Ghats. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has said that the Kejriwal government should have banned poisonous foam but imposed a ban on Chhath Puja.

Delhi BJP orders Gupta and Manoj Tiwari to celebrate Chhath Parv in Sonia Vihar in the evening. Earlier, BJP attacked the Kejriwal government for pollution in the Yamuna. BJP state president Adesh Gupta said Kejriwal blames Haryana for the pollution in the Yamuna whenever he is asked about it. But according to DPCB, when the Yamuna enters Delhi from Haryana at Palla, the BOD level is 2. And when the Yamuna leaves Delhi, its BOD level reaches around 50. This water is also not useful for agriculture.

He further said that sewage is poured into the Yamuna, for which the Central Government has allocated Rs 2,419 crore to the Delhi government for setting up a cleaning plant. But the Delhi government did not take any action on the issue and no one knows where the money went.
