New Delhi: The police consider that the Lalit Bhatia family, whose 11 members were found dead on July 1 in their home at Burari Sant Nagar in North Delhi under inexplicable and mysterious situations, might have been suffering from 'shared psychosis.'

A senior police official, who is probing, said the family showed symptoms of shared psychosis.

Here the meaning of Shared psychosis is delusional beliefs are transmitted from one person to another. In this case, Police suspected that 45 year old Lalit Bhatia, was the one who had the delusion of talking to his father even after his death. And his beliefs were endorsed by other family members too .

One of the Neighbors said the Bhatia family would never invite neighbors to their house although they were very friendly and cordial, they never talked about their private matters with others .

Speaking about the mysterious eleven pipes, poked out of one of the side walls of the Bhatias' house, the neighbours stated they were installed three to four months ago.

 Worth mention here Ten of the 11 members of the Bhatia family were found hanging from an iron-mesh in the ceiling on June 1, while the body of Narayan Devi who was 77-year-old and the head of the family, lying on the floor in another room of the house.
