Abu Dhabi: The final phase of the 2021 IPL group matches is underway. The match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Delhi Capitals (DC) was played on Monday in which Pant-captained Delhi Capitals won. CSK scored 136 for 5 in 20 overs, with Delhi achieving the target with 2 balls to spare. Delhi's 3-wicket win has taken them to number one in the point table.

DC's victory in the match was due to his bowling. The Delhi bowlers kept the pressure on the CSK batsmen from the start. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the centurion of the last match, was dismissed cheaply. Gaikwad was caught by Ashwin for a score of 13 and sent to the pavilion by Nortje. Faf du Plessis also survived just 10 runs. Robin Uthappa (19) and Moeen Ali (5) returned to the pavilion. However, Ambati Rayudu scored an unbeaten 55 for CSK which gave Chennai a respectable score.

Chasing a target of 137 runs, Delhi Capitals easily won. However, the Delhi batsmen showed no hurry. Openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan added 24 runs for the first wicket. The first wicket fell as Shaw, who returned to the pavilion after scoring 18 runs. Dhawan, however, played a useful inning of 39 runs. Shreyas Iyer, who came in to bat, scored 2 and Pant 15. In the end, Hetmyer scored a stormy 28 off 18 balls to give the team the victory.
