New Delhi: The Kejriwal government on Thursday relaxed restrictions after corona cases in the national capital declined. Due to this, from today, restaurants and cinema halls in Delhi are open with 50 per cent capacity. According to the information, since the corona cases were reduced, the restaurant owners and other business-class were constantly demanding the government to lift the restrictions. The traders said that their business had collapsed due to the restrictions. In view of this, the government should relax the restrictions.

In a meeting of the DDMA on Thursday, it was decided to do away with the odd-even rule of shops in Delhi's markets. With this, the weekend curfew has been removed. However, the night curfew will continue in the capital. Cinema halls will open with 50 per cent capacity. 200 people will also be allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. At the same time, government offices in Delhi will open with 50 per cent capacity. DDMA officials said it has not yet been agreed to open schools. This will be discussed in the next meeting of the DDMA.

Recently, more than 16,000 parents had sent a letter to Education Minister Manish Sisodia under the signature campaign to open schools, to which Sisodia had also agreed. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal led the DDMA meeting, which was also attended by CM Arvind Kejriwal. Last week, the Delhi government had allowed all private offices in Delhi to function outside containment zones with 50 per cent attendance.
