New Delhi: The Delhi government's tension has increased since the new variant of coronavirus, Amycron (Omicron), has surfaced in the world. Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal government has started preparations to prevent this. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held an important meeting with all departments on Tuesday during which the CM sought suggestions from all to deal with the virus.

In the meeting, CM Kejriwal said that last time 25,000 beds were increased in Delhi and now 30,000 oxygen beds have been prepared. Out of these, 10,000 are ICU beds, while 6800 ICU beds are being manufactured. Kejriwal said 27,000 oxygen beds may be ready in short notice. About 65,000 beds are ready. A 2 month buffer stock of 32 types of medicine is being ordered. Preparations for home isolation are also strengthened in terms of Omicron.

CM Kejriwal further said that the oxygen train arrived last time but there was no storage capacity. Delhi now has a storage capacity of 442 metric tonnes of oxygen. As many hospitals in Delhi have oxygen tanks. Telemetry devices will be installed in them. This will allow live input. 6000 oxygen cylinders have been imported from China. There are 3 refilling plants in Delhi, 2900 metric tonnes of oxygen can be refilled. 15 oxygen tankers are being purchased for Delhi.
