Delhi govt on alert over third corona wave Kejriwal says, 'Preparations are on..'

New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that the possibility of a third wave of corona is strong and the Delhi government is preparing on a war footing to deal with it. He said that 'On the third wave of corona virus, there are indications from the UK, cases are on the rise and we cannot sit silently'

Addressing the inaugural function of 22 new PSA oxygen plants set up in 9 hospitals in Delhi, CM Kejriwal said that 'The third wave of havoc is on the rise in the UK while 45% vaccination has taken place there. In view of this, we have to make all preparations. I am happy that 22 oxygen plants are being set up in 9 hospitals in Delhi, with a combined capacity of about 17 tonnes'. He said that 'the people of Delhi have stood firmly abd dealing with the second wave of Covid, we are also grateful to the industry for joining this war'.

Delhi has reported 238 new cases of corona infection on Friday, the lowest number of cases reported daily in the last three months. According to data released by the Health Department, 24 more patients died due to the epidemic and the rate of infection has come down to 0.31 percent. According to the health bulletin, 24,772 patients have died in Delhi so far from Covid-19.
