NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday, August 17, launched a national mission to make India the number one country in the world and urged all citizens and political parties to join it.

to achieve the goal, Kejriwal said, "Providing free education and healthcare to citizens, employment to youths, equal rights and dignity to women and fair price to farmers for their produce are needed"

As part of the aim to "Make India No. 1," Kejriwal said he will visit the nation to inspire people to get involved and help the project reach its goals.

He said that the mission is nonpartisan. "This is a national goal; it is not the goal of a single party. I urge the BJP and all other parties to join this endeavour to elevate India to the top spot in the globe "added the chief minister.

Many nations, including Singapore, attained independence after India but before us. Kejriwal questioned why India is falling behind because Indians are "the most intelligent and hardworking people in the world."

"We will have to open schools in every nook and corner of India no matter how much funds we spend. Once we provide good education, children will go on to become doctors, engineers and so on, and make the country rich eventually," he said, adding that the need of the hour is to ensure free healthcare services to every citizen.
