New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvidan Kejriwal has demanded a change in the Delhi University Act by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to open a new university and college in Delhi. CM Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to the Education Minister demanding that section 5 (2) of this law be deleted.

Giving detailed information in this regard, CM Kejriwal told in the press conference about the problems faced by the children in Delhi for admission to colleges. CM Kejriwal said that the child is upset about admission to colleges. Children have no fault in this. Governments have made all the mistakes. There is a shortage of university in Delhi. The number of students are increasing. The university should grow at the same speed as the students are growing.

CM Kejriwal said that about 2.5 lakh children pass 12th in Delhi every year. Out of these only 1.25 lakh, students get admission in colleges of Delhi. Where will the remaining 1.25 million children go? It is clear that out of all the colleges in Delhi, only 50 percent have the capacity to admit Delhi students. There is a need to open many colleges and universities inside Delhi at this time. The Delhi government is ready for this".
