NEW DELHI: Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, on Saturday provided a WhatsApp number people seeking contribution towards the salaries of yoga teachers under the 'Dilli Ki Yogshala' scheme.

Kejriwal said, the BJP banned yoga lessons in Delhi under the "Delhi ki Yogshala," but the residents of Delhi would not allow this to happen. Delhi residents are willing to contribute to the salaries of yoga instructors. Each yoga teacher receives a remuneration of Rs 15,000, he said.

"People are really angry about the cancellation of yoga lessons.

Those who want to take responsibility for the salary of yoga teacher can send WhatsApp message to 7277972779," said the Delhi CM said.

He urged the general public to notify how many teachers they could pay for by sending a message on this number. You will give the yoga teacher a check directly. In a press conference on Saturday, Kejriwal said: "I wish more and more people participated in this. Some people are willing to cover the full expense of yoga courses."

"Our goal was to get 17 lakh Delhi residents to practise yoga, but LG and the BJP prevented even 17,000 people from doing so. Following this, we made the decision to stand with the people of Delhi and refuse to let yoga lessons end under any circumstances. In the briefing, the Delhi CM stated, "I would find money from anyplace to pay salary to yoga teachers.

"I am releasing a WhatsApp number today. On this number, you can only send WhatsApp messages; the phone won't ring. We only pay a yoga instructor 15,000 rupees a month for her morning and evening classes. The current value of 15,000 rupees is zero. The goal of providing this number is to encourage people to send him a WhatsApp message if they wish to assume responsibility for paying one, two, or three teachers' salaries.

He also appealed to them not to let on that he wanted to donate 10,000 rupees. Instead, please say that I want to pay the salary of 1 teacher, 2 teachers, 3 teachers or 4 teachers. We will tell them the names of yoga teachers at the end of the month, the chief minister said.
