Amid growing corona in Delhi, CM Kejriwal says, 'Markets will not be shut'

New Delhi: Amidst growing cases of corona in the national capital Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday spoke to representatives of the Market Association of Delhi through video conferencing to seek cooperation in controlling the epidemic. He made it clear that the Delhi government does not want to close any market.

CM Kejriwal has urged the Market Association to ensure that no one in the market gets a mask if it is found free of cost. CM Kejriwal has also appealed to all political parties to take out their volunteers on the road to distribute the masks to the people who come out without masks. CM Kejriwal has also called upon Aam Aadmi Party MPs, MLAs, councillors and volunteers to provide masks free of cost to those who leave without wearing masks.

During this time, the officials of the market association expressed their concern about the possibility of closing some markets in the wake of Corona infection, on which CM Arvind Kejriwal made it clear that the Delhi government does not want to close any markets.
