New Delhi: Delhi's Deputy CM and Finance Minister Manish Sisodia today presented the budget of 69 thousand crores of the state. This budget has been named the Patriotic Budget by the Delhi Government. This is four thousand crores more than the budget of last year. Due to the Corona era, Sisodia presented the budget through the tablet. Along with this, all the MLAs were also provided tablets to read the budget.
Manish Sisodia said in the Delhi Legislative Assembly that, "August 15, 2022, is the 75th Independence Day, the house in which we are sitting has been the Parliament House of united India from 1912-1926. I offer this budget in the name of a patriotic budget while bowing to the freedom fighters of independence. We will celebrate this whole year as a festival of independence. This celebration of independence will last for 75 weeks. This festival will start from 12 March and will be celebrated till 15 August 2022."
Manish Sisodia further said that the foundation of India @ 100 will be laid along with India @ 75. When we enter the 100th year of our independence, Delhi will be its center. Manish Sisodia said that every year I keep some statistics related to the economic scenario of Delhi. Today, I will look at the economic scenario of the last 75 years of Delhi. We saw the biggest change between 1941–1951. In 1947 there was a population of about 6 lakhs. Today there is a population of two crores, by 2047 it is estimated to reach about 3 crores 28 lakh population.
