New Delhi: The first Omicron positive patient has been found in Delhi. As per the recent information, the passenger had come to Delhi from Tanzania. Recently, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said, "Samples of 12 infected patients were sent for genome sequencing, one of which has been found to be Omicron variant in the report of the patient. '

The Minister said, "Those who are coming from outside are being tested. So far, 17 positive patients are admitted to LNJP, 6 are in touch with them. 12 people had genome sequencing, out of which 1 looks like an omicron patient. The file report will come tomorrow. We can say that this is the first omicron case in Delhi. Now there are 5 cases of omicrons in the country. The list includes 2 cases in Karnataka, 1 in Gujarat, 1 in Mumbai and 1 in Delhi. Also inform you that the patients found in Karnataka are 66 and 46 years old, although both have mild symptoms and both returned from South Africa.

In Gujarat, a 72-year-old patient on Saturday confirmed the omicron variant. The patient had returned from Zimbabwe. In Mumbai too, a man from South Africa and Dubai has been found infected with Omicron. Officials say these 15 suspected patients have been admitted to LNJP Hospital. 9 of this list are corona positive, while the remaining 6 have symptoms such as sore throat and fever.
