A 15-year old class ninth student committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan in her house on Tuesday. The girl had alleged to her father that two of her teachers in school were harassing and molesting her. The girl’s father accused the teachers of putting too much pressure on their daughter.

The incident happened at the girl’s house in Noida when she was alone at her house on Tuesday evening. The girl was rushed to Kailash hospital where she was declared brought dead. The cause of death will be known after postmortem.

“The teachers used to scold the girl and touch her inappropriately,” said her parents and added that the teachers failed their daughter in the exam intentionally.

“She told me her SST teachers touch her inappropriately, I said since I'm also a teacher I can say they can't do it, might be a mistake but she said, 'I'm scared of them, no matter how well I write they'll fail me.' Ultimately they failed her in SST. School killed her,” alleged the parents.

Following the incident, police have booked the school’s principal and the two teachers for abetting suicide.

“It's an unfortunate incident. The school has been following promotion policies of CBSE. Let me make it clear that she had not failed, a re-test was scheduled. We will cooperate with probe agencies,” said the principal.
