Delhi government informs High Court, 'No night curfew in state as of now'

New Delhi: After assessing the status of COVID-19, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has conveyed its position to the Delhi High Court today. The government has reported that corona infection is gradually decreasing in the capital. Due to this, there should not be a night or weekend curfew. Simultaneously, the government also stated in the High Court that it has imposed a fine of more than Rs 17 crore in lieu of more than 2 lakh challans issued in connection with COVID-19 violations and Delhi Police has released 5 lakhs so far. A fine of over Rs 27 crore has been recovered in lieu of invoices.


On the government's statement, the High Court said, "To deal with Covid-19, focus on investigation and identification of people exposed to infected people." Simultaneously, the court also told the government, 'Try to give the investigation report of Covid-19 on mobile phone'. It has also been said, 'The results of the Corona investigation are still not coming within 24 hours. It also needs to be looked into'.

Talking about corona cases, then on Wednesday, about 4000 new patients of coronavirus infection have been found in Delhi. After this, the total number of infected here has come to around 5 lakh 80 thousand. Not only this, 82 more people have died due to infection today due to which the number of dead has increased to more than 9,300.
