The Delhi Services Department has refused to accept the order issued in the transfer case of Delhi Government officials. The department has argued with the Delhi Government's order not to accept that the notification issued in August 2016 in the order of the Supreme Court has not been cancelled, with the right to transfer and posting to the lieutenant governor or the chief secretary. After the Supreme Court decision on Wednesday,  Manish Sisodia presented a transfer order, which the Delhi Services Department refused to accept.

After the verdict of the Supreme Court, Deputy CM Sisodia said in a press conference that after the High Court order two years ago, the power of transfer-posting from the Delhi government was snatched and given to the Lt Governor and Chief Secretary.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that after the decision of the Supreme Court, the government has changed the whole system of transfer-posting from small to large officials taking the biggest decision. The order to implement this system with immediate effect has been issued to the Services Department. But his order was denied by the Services Department.

The decision of the Supreme Court in the battle of rights between the Delhi Government versus the Lieutenant Governor has been described by the Aam Aadmi Party's victory for the people of Delhi and the democracy. The Supreme Court has clarified that Lt Governor Anil Baijal does not have the right to take an independent decision and he is the minister of the Council and will have to work on the help and advice. The court verdict has welcomed the decision by declaring the victory of the public as AAP.
