New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi has taken a big decision which is a matter of great happiness for the common people. There is now a great relief in the registration fee of electric vehicles. It has been announced to exempt the registration fee of vehicles. No registration fee will be charged for battery-operated vehicles now. This was announced by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal during a press dialogue today. This has given great relief to those wishing to purchase electric vehicles.
However, after the announcement, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has tweeted and praised Chief Minister Arvind for the announcement. Electric vehicles were also exempted from road tax on 11th October this month. Now, the Delhi government's effort to promote electric vehicles seems to be successful. 2629 electric vehicles have been registered in Delhi from April to September.
It is reported that there are 297 motorcycles and scooters. It includes 67 cabs and 80 cars. In the meantime, the main thing is that people have procured these vehicles without subsidy and in view of this, it can be concluded that the trend towards electronic vehicles is increasing in the people. Now, there are reports that the total number of electric vehicles in Delhi is going to reach close to one lakh.
