New Delhi: This Diwali will be celebrated without firecrackers in the country's capital Delhi this year as well. The Delhi Pollution Control Committee has banned all types of firecrackers in the national capital till January 1, 2022. At the same time, the sale of firecrackers has also been banned. The committee has issued an order banning firecrackers. The order issued by the Pollution Control Committee gives two reasons for banning firecrackers.

The first reason in the order has been explained to Corona. The order says that another corona wave is expected in Delhi, in which case people can gather if firecrackers are allowed to burst, which will violate social distancing. The second and major reason has been attributed to pollution. According to the order, the problem of pollution increases in Delhi every winter and the burning of firecrackers can make the problem more serious.

The order said that in addition, increased pollution after lighting crackers can also lead to a variety of health-related problems. The order also states that burning firecrackers produces dangerous chemicals and gases that cause air pollution and pose a risk of lung and heart-related diseases.
