NEW DELHI: Urban development minister Satyendar Jain has said that the Delhi AAP government has given an advance of Rs 293 core to North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) to disburse salaries of its employees. "Delhi government has given an advance payment of Rs 293 crores to North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) to disburse salary of its employees at the earliest. We hope that the North Corporation pays the pending salaries of its employees as soon as possible. We have given them an advance for the next installment which is not due yet," said Satyendar Jain.
The government released the funds on July 22 because the North Corporation was encountering a problem in disbursing salaries to its employees. “We hope that the North Corporation pays the pending salaries of its employees as soon as possible. Meanwhile, minister Satyendar Jain slammed the central government over the farmers' issues. “It is unfortunate and shameful that central ministers are using bad words to refer to our food providers, our farmers. It is not only unfortunate but also shameful,” Jain stated.
