According to the state's transport minister, Kailash Gahlot, the Delhi government has begun online registration for e-auto licences with a 33% reservation for women. He stated that the first phase will consist of about 4,261 e-auto licences, with 1,406 reserved for female applicants. Those who are qualified can also apply through the Delhi government's transportation department's website, according to the article.

Gahlot took to Twitter to say that the Arvind Kejriwal government's decision to issue e-auto licences is an important step toward making Delhi an electric car capital. He also stated that the Delhi government is dedicated to equipping the city with a pollution-free, world-class transportation system.

The state government has said that as part of its electric vehicle policy, it will give financial assistance of up to Rs 30,000 for the purchase of an e-car. Anyone possessing an Aadhaar number and a Delhi address, as well as a valid light motor vehicle driver's licence or a TSR driver's licence, would be able to apply for an e-auto permit.

A public service vehicle badge will not be required at the time of application. The transportation agency, on the other hand, stated that candidates must receive the badge within 45 days following the permit allotment drawing. The deadline for submitting permission applications is November 1st. According to the article, the agencies enrolled by the Delhi government would be authorised to provide loans with a 5% interest refund. From October 25 to October 31, the government will host a 'E-Auto Mela' at IDTR Sarai Kale Khan and Loni, where interested consumers may learn about electric vehicle models, test drive them, and obtain financing information, according to the agency.
