New Delhi: Environment Minister Gopal Rai in Delhi's Kejriwal government has accused the Federation of Indian Commerce and Industry (FICCI) of violating environmental regulations. For this, the Delhi government is going to impose a heavy penalty on FICCI. Talking to a private news channel, Environment Minister Gopal Rai of the Delhi Government said that the government will impose a heavy penalty on FICCI.

The Federation is accused of ignoring the environment-related regulations regarding demolition sites. Gopal Rai said that a year ago, a fine of Rs 5 lakh was imposed. He said that due to the lack of anti-smoke guns and debris lying in the open at the FICCI demolition site at Mandi House, they will also be sent a notice. Demolition work started in FICCI last year. During that time rules were found to be ignored and a fine of Rs 5 lakh was also imposed.

However, the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi has started a green war room to monitor the measures being taken to control pollution. Now the measures taken to control pollution through the war room will be monitored.
