New Delhi: The corona vaccination program kicked off across the country on January 16. Vaccination was carried out at 81 vaccination centers in the country's capital, Delhi. In Delhi, 53.32% of health workers were vaccinated on the first day. A total of 8,100 health workers were expected to get the vaccine on the first day at 81 vaccination sites in Delhi, though a total of 4,319 health workers took the vaccine. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has called the first day's vaccination campaign a success.

On the low number of vaccinations in Delhi, Satyendra Jain said vaccination is completely voluntary. Satyendra Jain added, "There is about 50% vaccination across the country, Delhi is also close to 50%. The figure all over the place is around half the same. Low vaccination may be the same reason everywhere is not different. Some people did not come to the moment after registering."

Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain further said that it is of no use to assess why people did not come. He said "vaccination is not entirely voluntary. The caller has a complete exemption. It is not that even after registering, it will have to be done. There were 81 vaccination centers in Delhi where the vaccine has been installed. The entire campaign was successful."
