New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has directed the government to consider the government in 2 weeks on the public interest litigation related to the CBSE Board waiving the examination fee of 30 lakh children of 10th and 12th class. The Delhi High Court has directed Delhi and the Central Government to take it as a representation on the public interest litigation filed for the waiver of CBSE exam fees across the country.

The court has directed the government to take a decision on this petition in 2 weeks. The last date for submission of exam fees for 10th and 12th students of CBSE has been fixed October 15. Advocate Ashok Aggarwal, appearing for the Social Jurist during the hearing on this petition in the double bench of Delhi High Court, said that the condition of the parents teaching their children in private schools is so bad that they are not able to pay the fees of the children.

Kejriwal government on Tuesday told the court that they have asked the central government for an amount of about Rs 100 crore so that the examination fees of these students can be waived. But they have not received any response from the Central Government yet. The number of students studying in class 10 and 12 in private and government schools in Delhi is around three lakh.
