Relief to Amazon from Delhi HC, dismisses petition of Future Group

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday turned down the petition of Future Retail Limited (FRL), urging Amazon to stop interfering. The Delhi High Court, in its order, has told SEBI and BSE that they are free to do their work as per the law, but Amazon cannot be stopped from writing a letter to the authorities to take any action Is free to write the letter.

In fact, Future Retail had approached the Delhi High Court against the Singapore court's decision to stay the Reliance-Future Group deal. The High Court has considered his petition to be hearable and prima facie has accepted the deal with Future Group's Reliance. Future Retail had filed a petition against the Singapore Arbitration Court's decision seeking relief. Future Retail appealed to the Delhi High Court to stop the interference in Amazon's deal.

Also, there was a deal of Rs 24,713 crore between Reliance-Future Group in August, under this deal, Future Group's retail, wholesale and logistics business will be sold to Reliance Retail Ventures Limited. But Amazon had reservations about this deal. So Amazon filed a petition in Singapore court regarding Reliance-Future Group.
