Delhi High Court slams central government, calls drama to 'self-reliant India' and 'make in India'

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has slammed the slogans of Make in India and self-reliant India as  a drama of the Modi government of the Center. The Delhi High Court criticized the change in eligibility criteria for participating in tenders for providing 'ground handling' services at various regional airports, saying that the central government's attitude towards promoting local entrepreneurs is 'hypocritical'.

The High Court criticized the political leadership saying that it is "painful" that on the one hand the government talks of being 'Make in India' and 'self-reliant' and on the other it issues tenders which are small The units refuse to engage in 'ground handling operations' at the regional airport. The bench of the High Court was hearing a petition by the Center for Aviation Policy, Safety and Research. The court has issued notice to the Center and AAI, and also directed that the validity of the allotment of tenders will depend on the decision on the disposal of the petition.

The Delhi High Court took a tough stance on the political leadership on this issue and said, it is a matter of great sadness that on one hand the government is talking about being 'Make in India' and 'self-reliant' and on the other hand issues such tenders, Which prevent small companies from participating in regional airports for ground handling service.
