New Delhi: According to the news, the Delhi High Court on Monday told the Central Government that it is expected that the Sabhas Biswas scheme will comply with honesty. The Sabka Biswas (Heritage Dispute Settlement) Scheme, 2019 aims to resolve the disputes of excise and service tax. A bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Hari Shankar said, "We expect the Center to faithfully comply with the provisions of the scheme and the Finance Act." The court made this remark while refusing to consider the government's petition challenging a circular."

According to sources, in this circular, the benefit of the scheme has been asked to be given in such tax disputes, on which the final hearing has been held on or before June 30. This scheme has been implemented for the settlement of disputes related to the charges contained in the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Through this, taxpayers get the benefit of exemption from interest, penalty as well as prosecution process.

The court justified this circular by dismissing the petition of Advocate Nidhi Gupta. The court said that it is not violating the scheme or the Finance Act. Advocate Farman Ali Magare on behalf of the Central Government opposed the petition and said that there is nothing wrong in this circular.
