Delhi High Court wants pewdiepie's songs taken down from youtube

T-Series and PewDiePie are in news since the battle of the number of subscribers has started. Now, Following a suit filed by T-Series against PewDiePie, the Delhi Court has asked YouTube to remove from its platform two songs posted by the Swedish YouTuber.

According to the report, the court has also asked YouTube to ensure that the songs in question are not uploaded again. It has listed the matter for further hearing on July 15. In an interim order on April 8, Justice Jayant Nath said that the order should be complied with within two weeks of time. He said,  “In my opinion, it would be in the interest of justice that these videos are taken off by YouTube.”

In its petition, T-Series has sought the removal of songs T-Series Diss Track/Bitch Lasagna and Congratulations from YouTube. The Indian music giant told the court that the lyrics of the songs were defamatory and offensive in nature. The songs contain racist, inflammatory and hateful remarks against the Indian community and disparage T-Series and its trademark, it said.

The court also took notice of the fact that after the release of the first video, PewDiePie had sent a message to T-Series to apologise for the same. “It was all in good fun,” he had said, while assuring that he was “not planning any more videos on the same lines.”
