New Delhi: Satyendar Jain, the Delhi Health Minister, on Wednesday inaugurated high-tech medical equipment at LNJP Hospital that can identify urinary bladder abnormalities using a camera and thereby aid children with urological and gastrointestinal ailments.
The minister took to Twitter to announce the opening of a "first-of-its-kind video-urodynamic system" at the Delhi government's largest facility. "Through the use of a camera, this modern device may identify urine bladder problems, assisting youngsters with urological and gastrointestinal ailments. It's also geared to conduct rehabilitation," he added on Twitter.
The first case of Covid-19 in Delhi was reported in March 2020, and since then, the LNJP Hospital, the city government's largest facility, has been at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic in the national capital, treating both domestic and international patients in three waves, the most recent of which was fueled by the Omicron variant.
For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, Jain recently tweeted that LNJP Hospital had not had a single coronavirus patient admitted to the facility, and that all such patients had been discharged. It is one of Delhi's most important hospitals, with 2,000 beds and was built during the British rule.
