New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has made a big claim that his government has installed 2,75,000 CCTV cameras in the capital in the last 7 years. Not only that, Kejriwal said Delhi is No.1 in terms of CCTV across the world. In terms of CCTV, we are far ahead of London, New York and Paris, the Delhi CM said.

CM Kejriwal further said that Delhi is at the forefront of how many cameras are installed in a city within a radius of 1 mile. According to a survey conducted by an organization, 1826 CCTV cameras are installed per 1 mile in Delhi, while the second place comes to London where 1138 cameras per mile are installed. Arvind Kejriwal said Chennai ranks second in terms of CCTV cameras in our country. Women's safety has increased ever since the cameras were installed. Now women are beginning to feel safe. This is helping the police a lot in solving the crime, as it is easily caught with CCTV cameras.

CM Kejriwal further said that 1,40,000 more CCTV cameras will be installed now. People know how many hurdles there were in installing CCTV cameras in Delhi, once Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai, I had to stage a protest at LG House. The central government had also created a lot of hurdles.
