New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the national capital Has increased the salary of MLAs. As per the central provision, the MLAs will now get Rs 30,000 per month in the increase. CM Kejriwal's cabinet has approved the proposal and sealed the increased salary. However, even after the hike, Delhi MLAs will still be paid the lowest salary i.e.

If 60,000 rupees allowances are added, it will be Rs.90,000 per month. At present, the MLAs were getting 12,000 rupees of salary, while 42,000 rupees were being given as allowances. Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, West Bengal, and the capital Delhi are at the bottom in terms of the salary of MLAs. Telangana is at the forefront of the salaries of MLAs. The MLAs there get a salary allowance of Rs.2.5 lakhs per month.

Besides Telangana, Uttarakhand is the second state to give over 2 lakh per month to MLAs. In most states, the salary of MLAs is between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh per month. In other states, MLAs get a hefty salary as compared to Delhi. In Telangana, MLAs are paid Rs 2.5 lakh per month, Uttarakhand Rs 2.04 lakh, Himachal Pradesh Rs 1.90 lakh, Haryana Rs 1.55 lakh, Bihar Rs 1.35 lakh, and Rajasthan Rs 1.42 lakh.
